Chef Brad Gates was at the top of his game when he traded restaurant kitchen stress for the predictability of catering. He had worked for famous folks like Danny Meyer and Wolfgang Puck. Gates thought he was done with that life, but he missed the bang and fire of crazy-busy stoves.
This fall, Gates returns as head chef at Kimbal Musk’s Hedge Row on Mass Ave.
“It’s good to be in the mix,” Gates said from Denver, where he is training with Musk’s The Kitchen Restaurant Group.
